About Us

Mary Jo Burgoyne, MSN, APRN-BC, APNP

Mary Jo Burgoyne, MSN, APRN-BC, APNP, is a psycho-oncology clinical nurse specialist at Froedtert Hospital and the Medical College of Wisconsin. She has over 30 years of experience providing psychotherapy both in private practice and in hospital-based oncology clinics. She was an Assistant Professor of Psychiatric Nursing at Marquette University. Burgoyne earned her BSN at Georgetown University and holds advanced degrees University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

Lynn A. Gershan, MD

Lynn A. Gershan, MD, is a graduate of McGill University Faculty of Medicine, a board-certified pediatrician, and a medical acupuncturist. She has provided care for infants and children for over 20 years. Her interests include child and adolescent development and the integration of complementary methods of healing into pediatric health care.

Laurie Berg Pasch, LCSW, LMFT, DCSW

Laurie Berg Pasch, LCSW, LMFT, DCSW, provides individual and family psychotherapy and crisis intervention to children, adolescents, and young adults. She has worked in private practice for nearly 30 years. Prior to establishing her own practice, Pasch worked in the psychiatry center at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, where she specialized in helping children and families manage chronic and terminal illness. Pasch holds degrees from the University of Wisconsin at Madison and Milwaukee.

Stephanie Bernstein Wagner

Stephanie Bernstein Wagner was diagnosed with breast cancer in April, 2006, when her daughters were ages 5 and 7. She was frustrated by her search for guidance in raising children while battling breast cancer. Her experience led to the development of this website. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Wagner is an independent marketing consultant.

Melanie Wasserman, MSW, LCSW

Melanie Wasserman, MSW, LCSW, is a licensed independent clinical social worker who provides individual psychotherapy. She also facilitates bereavement groups and support groups for individuals whose loved ones are struggling with mental illness. She has completed certification programs in Trauma Counseling and in Marriage and Family Therapy. She earned her master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee School of Social Welfare.
